On behalf of the ORMHA executive I would like to thank all of those that came out to the AGM recently to hear about last year’s successes and more importantly, plans for the 2012-13 season. We had a record crowd this year which speaks to the values our membership share with regards to making ORMHA the best association for all of our kids. It really is all about the kids and this message came out loud and clear at the AGM. We would like to thank the membership for their overwhelming support for the many improvements made to the ORMHA constitution which will help improve the association. For the first time, we now have clear volunteer role descriptions which will help our dedicated volunteers better serve our membership. We are very pleased to have a new more effective competitive structure in place that will greatly improve our Romans try out process and support for the teams during the season. We are excited to introduce a more comprehensive coach mentorship program being implemented by our director of coaching and develpment, Larry Belinger. As part of this we will see the introduction of the coaches club for all coaches at both the house and competitive level. Our ultimate goal is to promote and support a positive hockey experience for all our members. This includes all the players, parents and our dedicated volunteers which donate countless hours to all our kids. We have our Respect Initiative in place to protect all our membership and we encourage all to review the document. ORMHA wants to ensure it's all about the kids and as part of this we have a zero tolerance for bullying of any kind – there is no room for this in our association. In addition, the association is on solid financial ground and we will continue to work this season to ensure the future remains on a solid foundation for all our future hockey players.
Lastly, we would like to congratulate our 2011-12 award winners.
