Hockey Canada Updates to Division Names

Hockey Canada approved a change in naming convention proposed by the board of directors. Minor Hockey divisions to be described using ages.

At Hockey Canada meetings in Montreal last November, the body approved a change in naming convention proposed by the board of directors.

The age divisions will become U7, U9, U11 through to U21, impacting all minor and female hockey programs under the Hockey Canada umbrella.

The new divisions are as follows:

The age designation takes effect for the 2020-2021 season.
