Good morning,

Please find attached information about the Green Armband Initiative, which came from the Officiating group and was passed by the HEO Board of Directors.

The information includes:

• Information about the Green Armband Initiative: An Initiative to Reduce Harassment and Abuse of Minor Officials within HEO.
• FAQ sheet

This Initiative is further supported by the motion that was passed by the HEO Board on February 22, 2021.

Where a team official has been assessed a Game Misconduct penalty or a Gross Misconduct for any harassment infraction towards or involving an official wearing a green arm band, the suspension in question will be doubled.

The HEO Code of Discipline (Minor Hockey) Chart will be updated appropriately with this change
